Disclaimer Requirements

In order to ensure that the FDC remains in compliance with campaign finance laws and regulations:

• All printed materials used for display, or offered for distribution, must carry the legally-required disclaimer, identifying the authorizing candidate or committee and the payer.
• Materials which carry a disclaimer noting the authorizing candidate or committee, but which state that they are "printed privately", may be used only for display, not for distribution.
• Other printed materials present may be kept only for refernce by the event staff.

City Tabling Events

For events at which the Fredericksburg Democratic Committe is sponsoring an outreach table, the following materials are presumptively allowed to be displayed:

• Materials authorized by any Democratic nominee running in the current election cycle.
• Materials authorized by the FDC, the Democratic Party of Virginia, or the Democratic National Committee, include any candidate advocacy material authorized by one of these committees for a Democratic nominee running in the current election cycle.

Additional materials may be displayed if approved by the chair of the FDC, or in the chair's absence, the vice chair, or the chair's delegate; those officers are also authorized to rule on questions about individual items which would ordinarily be allowed under these rules.

Regional Tabling Events

For events at which the FDC is sponsoring an outreach table in conjunction with one or more other committees, the FDC will allow materials to be displayed according to its policy, or as authorized by one of the other committees.

Additional materials may be displayed if approved by any one of the chairs of the participating committees, or their delegates; those officers are also authorized to rule on questions about individual items which would ordinarily be allowed under these rules.
