I'd like to congratulate Amy LaMarca, elected chair this evening by the newly reorganized committee, as well as James Donald (continuing as secretary) and Fred Kurth (continuing as treasurer).

I would also like to thank all of you who have helped in myriad ways to make my job as chair easier over the past two years, and who have helped make and keep the city a center for Democratic activity. I look forward to working with Amy and the rest of the committee to elect John Warner to the U.S. Senate, as well as turning Virginia blue in the presidential election.
