City Caucus Results

As required under the Party Plan of the state Democratic Party, the Fredericksburg City Democratic Committee held its reorganizational caucus yesterday

The caucus formed at 12:00 in the city's District Court, and quickly voted to adopt the slate of 24 pre-filed candidates for committee membership.

The next meeting of the committee will be held on Saturday, 2006/02/11. On the agenda will be:

• New subcommittee structure, including support at the committee level for precinct- and block-level organization;
• Recommendations from Walt Sheffield, the committee's parliamentarian, on changes to the by-laws to bring them into conformance with the state Party Plan;
• Resolutions thanking former members and officers.
