First Congressional District Committee Meeting
We have a very important meeting of the 1st CD this Saturday, March 18, 10 am to noon, at the Snow Library in Spotsylvania. We've already set the convention for the afternoon of May 13, in the Williamsburg area. On Saturday, we'll be deciding on: - Convention delegate allocation formula - Filing fees for candidates and delegates - Rules and credentials committees for the convention - Other issues related to the candidate nomination and convention process.

CD1-Sponsored Grassroots Training
The First Congressional District committee is planning to kick off the morning of the nominating convention in Williamsburg with training provided by the Virginia Democratic Party. All dems will be welcome to attend the training, which will focus on grassroots campaigning.

First Congressional District Nominating Convention
The First Congressional District Nominating Convention meets to nominate the Democratic candidate for the district, running against Jo Ann Davis in November. Only delegates and alternates will be eligible to participate actively, although everyone is invited to attend and observe.

Democratic Unity Dinner
Join First District Democrats as we kick off the Congressional campaign. We'll be working to keep the ticket price close to cost so everyone will be able to attend, and all Democrats in the 1st CD are urged to join us.

The First Congressional District Nominating Convention meets to nominate the Democratic candidate for the district, running in in the Decmber 11, 2007 special election. Only delegates and alternates will be eligible to participate actively, although everyone is invited to attend and observe.
